Weekend before Midterms

Saturday the 7th was supposed to be a study day but just as I was getting ready to study Jimmy called and asked me if I wanted to go around with him to show his friend Henry the city. I said yes, or course. The first thing we went to see was the Coliseum. From there we walked to the Arc of Constantine and then to Circo Massimo. At the bottom of the hill, where we were going to catch the bus, there was a huge gang of people doing a march. I had completely forgotten that it was Women’s Day. This is what they looked like.

We caught a bus and headed for Piazza Navona. Then went to the Pantheon. Then the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. Then we walked up to Piazza Barberini and went home to rest for a bit before going to dinner at the infamous pizza place. If you come visit me here I will take you there.

This is the Triton fountain in Piazza Barberini.

This is the billboard for the movie that was playing at the movie theater. It’s a similar title as back home but instead of it being simply “27 Dresses” it’s “27 Times in White”. Cute movie.

Sunday we woke up to go to Porta Portese with Tina, her mom, and Giulia. Henry came along too. Didn’t buy much. Used the rest of the day to try and study but Kelly gave me the opportunity to not do that and instead make dinner for the three of us. Then we watched Under the Tuscan Sun and ate blueberry muffins. What a wonderfully relaxed time.

Oh, I almost forgot. I cute my hair at the office on Thursday, but only the bottom layer. Friday morning I asked Nicole to cut the rest of the back and I finished the front. I think it didn’t turn out to bad but I think I look a lot younger. Not crazy about it. I think I’ll get it done professionally before I leave.
